About Us

Circle of Life Hospice is a local non-profit agency dedicated to meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our patients and their families during the final and most difficult phase of life’s journey. We became Medicare Certified in September 2004 and have been determined to provide extraordinary hospice care to rural Iowa residents ever since. We are your fellow neighbors and small town residents who desire to serve the terminally ill and their families by providing compassionate and professional services. Our board of directors consists of highly respected professionals in our community who volunteer their time and energy to ensure that Circle of Life continues to operate with the integrity and values this agency was built upon.

Over the course of our first few years of operation we realized something was missing in our community and service area that would greatly enhance the care and overall hospice experience for those we serve – A Local Hospice House. Circle of Life put the dream of a Hospice House into action early in 2009 by launching The Legacy Campaign – a community-wide fundraising effort in hopes of building a state of the art hospice facility right here in South Central Iowa. Through many generous donations and a lot of hard work, Circle of Life was able to purchase a 12,000 sq. ft. building and begin construction on a six bed hospice house in October 2009. In June of 2010 The Legacy Lodge doors were opened!

With our incredible staff and the beautiful Legacy Lodge available to meet all of your needs, we are confident your family will be thankful they chose Circle of Life. Circle of Life Hospice is honored each time a family allows us to care for them during this difficult time in life. We look forward to helping you in your time of need.

“You all have been so supportive and helpful during this difficult time. We do not know what we would have done without you! Mom was able to remain with those who loved her dearly. We appreciate the fact she was able to be kept comfortable and maintain her dignity. Our hearts are truly full of gratitude to you and everyone at Circle of Life. God has blessed you.”
